Biography

I graduated from Mountlake Terrace High school in 1993.  In high school I was very involved in student activities, sports and the community.  I began my undergraduate studies that Fall at Central Washington University, where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Promotion and Marketing in 1998.  I got a job as a Marketing Coordinator at 8-4-8 Productions a company owned by former Seattle SuperSonics Sam Perkins.  We were responsible for community events in Seattle such as the King Holiday Hoopfest, A Smooth’s New Year’s eve and the Big Smooth’s Coolout day.  I went back to school in the summer of 2000 to pursue my teaching degree.  Since earning my teaching certificate I have subbed and taught a several high schools.  I currently teach Health and Fitness Education at Pacific Middle School and coach girl’s basketball at Ballard High School. My all-time favorite activity is to spend time with my wife Jessica. Other than that, I love to hike, play sports, travel and hangout with friends and family. This summer I went on an amazing European vacation and completed my first triathlon. I am currently working towards earning my Master's degree from Walden University.

My mission is to encourage, teach, and motivate students to take accountability for their development by making good decisions regarding their social, physical, intellectual, and emotional health. I want to teach my students “real world” skills to enjoy life while maintaining a respectful outlook in dealing with adversity and challenges they will face in life."
